At some point in sports and BC fandom, you feel like you’ve seen it all. Like the slalom adds gates to make downhill skiing more challenging, Cincinnati Bengals Pet Shop highlining adds height to make slacklining more challenging. Changes were more substantial for ’70. The fast rise of the AUC curve as a function of continued scoring in these sports likely reflects the role played by differences in latent team skill in producing large leads, which make outcomes more predictable (Figure 5).
