The singer, 30, donned casual attire as he took to the stage, opting for a black top with orange stripes on the sleeves and black cargo pants.

Opening, his set with his 2021 his Shiver, the second single from his fifth studio album, titled ‘=’, he moved into Perfect before closing his show with Bad Babits.

He also performed his festive duet with Elton John, Merry Christmas, after releasing it on Friday.

On how the Christmas single came about, Curvy girl online Ed told ‘s morning show host Ryan Seacrest that Elton, 74, contacted him last Christmas to discuss the project. 

Ed explained: ‘He rung me on Christmas Day and said, «I want to do one more Christmas song and I want to do it with you.»‘

He added: ‘He’s got a real joy for life, he loves working with new artists. I think he and (husband) David (Furnish), five years ago, had this plan of one last tour, we’ll do the book, we’ll do the film and it’s all just kind of going better and better and better.

‘I think he will stick to his work and stop touring but it’s kind of on fire at the moment. It’s good.’ 

Ed went on to reveal he would be spending Christmas this year with his family and his wife’s family at home in Suffolk in the UK after finishing work on Christmas Eve.

The hitmaker’s performance comes after Elton jokingly branded Ed a ‘little b*****d’ for ‘nearly killing’ him on the set of their new Christmas charity single, during an appearance on The Jonathan Ross Show on Friday night.  

In the glittering video for their song Merry Christmas released Elton and Ed re-created scenes from iconic videos including Wham’s Last Christmas,  Shakin’ Stevens’ Merry Christmas, The Snowman’s Walking in the Air and East 17’s Stay Another Day.

Asked by host Jonathan Ross whether he almost suffered an accident on set, Elton said: ‘I beg your pardon? I have no idea about this! I have no idea, this is news to me. Have you got proof?’
