This concentration offers undergraduate students essential pre-requisite courses for eventual graduate study in a preferred AHP. CSUSB Kinesiology AHP students will engage in a rigorous course of study in Kinesiology, Biology, Chemistry, and Physics. Twelve units in the AHP concentration meet the requirements for GE and major. Students are strongly encouraged to review admission requirements at accredited universities to which they may apply for specific allied health professional graduate programs. The program offers research and learning opportunities in areas including motor behavior, strength and conditioning, and metabolic and exercise research, with faculty mentors that specialize in each area. This opportunity provides exposure and networking connections, and several of our students have even had their research published in national peer-reviewed journals. For RTOs to have their qualifications recognised by The Institute they must tailor make their courses to meet the Industry Standards set by The Institute — Peak Body for Kinesiology. The students will gain knowledge to make appropriate choices that contribute to a healthy lifestyle.
